The polygon data was created by buffering the polyline geometry representing the centerline of the State Scenic Waterways by 1520 feet. This buffer distance was selected due to an absence of river bank data for all State Scenic Waterways. The buffer accommodated variation in river widths and most seasonal fluctuations in river channel location at the epoch of the source data.
