<idAbs>&lt;h3&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:11.0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height:115%;"&gt;This data set (produced and maintained by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department) represents the Oregon State Scenic Waterway "Related adjacent land" described in ORS 390.805 and OAR 736-040-0015 and its corresponding classification from OAR 736-040-0040. This data was designed for use as a guide in determining the potential for certain lands to be covered by the Oregon statues and rules related to State Scenic Waterways. The polygon data was created by buffering the polyline geometry representing the centerline of the State Scenic Waterways by 1520 feet. This buffer distance was selected due to an absence of river bank data for all State Scenic Waterways. The buffer accommodated variation in river widths and most seasonal fluctuations in river channel location at the epoch of the source data. Additionally, “Related adjacent land” excludes land that, in OPRD’s judgment, does not affect the view from the waters within a scenic waterway [ORS 390.805(1)]. Applicants are encouraged to clarify with OPRD whether their property meets this definition of related adjacent land (affects the viewshed of the State Scenic Waterway) via the Notification of Intent process (https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/PRP/Pages/SSW-notification.aspx).</idPurp>
