Navigating the 2025 Proposed Essential Salmonid Habitat (ESH) Map

 

This map identifies the ESH areas in Oregon.

Note: We did create a Dashboard outlining all the Mileage Statics, per county and stream however choose to not include at the initial launch but will be forth coming in an update this Spring 2025

 

 

Quick Tips:   List below are some quick tips on the Maps Tool Buttons located at the upper right-hand of map as well as some Navigation tools located on the upper left-hand side of map.

Description automatically generated       Click this button to find DSL contacts for the map, content information, and info as seen here.

Click this button to create printable documents of the selected map area.

         Click this button to measure length, area, or to get point locations. Make sure to choose the right measuring units (eg: Feet, meters, etc.)

         Click this button to change the Base map.

          Click this button to add text, project areas, graphics, shapes or markers to the map.

     Click this button to select Map Book Marks (predefined location) across the map. Simply toggle from left to right across the state.

     Click this button to see the Layer List.  Layers can be turned on or off, the transparency can be changed, and the use can view layer descriptions.

     Click this button to search for a location on map. A pop-up search tool will then open.  Listed below are a few tips for searching by location using the Search Bar when it is opened.

 

  • Search by address: Do not use Oregon in the address line (ex: 775 Summer St NE, Salem)
  • Search by longitude and latitude: Listed in decimal degrees, longitude listed first (ex: -123.844074, 45.453756)
  • Search by townshiprangeand section: No leading zeros are used, (Ex: 17S 12E 31)

Upper Left- Hand side of Map

 

   Click on the plus (+) or minus  (-) Buttons to “Zoom in” or “Zoom Out” respectively.

  Click on the Home Buttons to “Zoom to” the full Map extent of State of Oregon.

 

 

Note:   User can use the mouse wheel in interactively Zoom in or Out.
