Service Description:

This layer represents land owned by the State of Oregon and managed by the Department of State Lands. This layer contains a variety of ownership types including what is known as fee simple ownership and split estate ownership. Fee simple ownership includes rights to the surface and the subsurface or mineral interests. Split estates are those properties where the surface and the subsurface ownership have been split from one another and are independent. There are two other types of ownership represented in this dataset, Disposed which indicates DSL has sold all interest, and To Be Determined which indicates DSL has an unconfirmed ownership claim.

Polygon boundaries are mostly based on county assessor's taxlot GIS and do not represent actual boundaries on the ground.
